Durability
Durability in the built environment is about preventing and limiting risks related to structural failure. Structural failure refers to loss of the load-carrying capacity of a component or member within a structure or the structure itself.
Main focus of SGS INTRON is on predicting material performance in time (assessing material related risks) by inspections, audits and finite element calculations, where user and performance requirements are translated to relevant material requirements during design, construction and operation.
With our concrete, coating, modeling, and life-time calculations competences we provide services for predicting and assessing life-times for both new and existing structures (tunnels, metro stations, bridges, power plants, water works, and the like).
