Fluid-tight

In permits and in a number of governmental decrees, requirements may be imposed, on the basis of Section 8.40 of the Dutch Environmental Management Act, on the fluid-tightness of floors, paving, walls and/or industrial sewers. As regards fluid-tight facilities, we perform the following services.

SGS INTRON:

• determines, by means of a soil-risk analysis, based on the Dutch Soil Protection Guidelines for Business Activities [NRB], whether a fluid-tight facility is required for a business process;
• assesses fluid-resistant facilities, source-related facilities, management measures and/or organisational measures;
• assesses damage and issues specific repair advice; and
• researches and develops in order to adapt CUR Building and Infrastructure regulations to reflect the state of the art. 

SGS INTRON Certificatie B.V.:

• certifies processes for contractors;
  
• together with expert inspectors, assesses fluid-tightness according to CUR/PBV Recommendation 44;
• is authorised to issue a PBV Fluid-tight Facilities Statement.
